Industrial Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic Affairs

The Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Ministry of Economic Affairs implemented the “Open Data Application Promotion Plan” in November 2013, encouraging enterprises to use government data for new product, service and innovative business model. The IDB also assists private organizations to link with public sectors and to urge the government to provide access to more key data.
The IDB commissioned Taipei Computer Association on “Open Data Application Promotion Plan” (http://opendata.tca.org.tw) to hold competitions and provide subsidies, as well as promotion and international opportunity. We’d like to invite everyone who is interested in open data to join the data service industry chain.

Archilife Research Foundation

Since 1987, the Archilife Research Foundation started long-term researches in architecture, sustainability, and go on to other areas of knowledge integration. Efforts including previously giving scholarships in aforementioned areas, and currently holding reading group meetings and communion events for knowledge keepers to better our understandings of the world. Starting from 2011, we also have been sponsoring various open source related events, holding meetups and game jams for local game developers' community, and giving out scholarships to support indie game teams and encourage them to go to international game festivals.

The National Museum of Prehistory

The National Museum of Prehistory (NMP) is the first world-class museum of archaeology in Taiwan. Together with the Peinan Archaeology Park, the facilities and exhibition unveil the story of Taiwan’s prehistoric as well as contemporary indigenous cultures.

It is hoped that our efforts in research, collection, exhibition, and education serves as a venue for visitors to gain better understanding of the great diversity of Taiwan’s prehistoric and indigenous cultures, so that we may all come to cherish and respect the land and protect the cultures and environment.

We have been devoted to promote the “All Smart Museum Program” since 2016. By introducing online ticket system, digital interactive system, the APP mobile guiding system, digital reconstitution to archeology relic, and the cultural and creative design system, we try to implement cloud based application to this museum. Open data and creative commons will be the next step we embrace. We aim to enhance the quality of services and bring a more friendly and interesting museum to the visitors.

That should be the ultimate goal of TADPI.

National Center for High-performance Computing, NCHC
